In 2004, two registered nurses organized a medical team to deliver services to a remote village in Tanzania. While working with the people for over a decade, other areas of focus were identified to improve and build the necessary infrastructure to support the health and wellness of the communities.
In 2018, Outreach Africa was created as a non-profit organization to create greater impact and reach. Working with the Sisters of the Assumption in Tanzania & Kenya is our primary focus. Small teams of volunteers, with broad areas of expertise, complete projects to improve conditions for the Sisters and support their divine mission. The teams consist of ready, willing, and able workers who want to contribute to volunteer and be responsible for all their expenses and must be willing to commit to the projects on the trip. Volunteers are responsible for current third-world travel immunizations, necessary medication, passports, and VISA.
