The preschool program began in September 2019 with eight enrolled students. The learning happened within the convent in the public space. The cement wall created in the Kawangware community was built to provide privacy and security. The barrier which was once there was thick brush and barbed wire.

Visiting Kawangware in 2018 we saw an emergent need for clean water. The borehole being used was contaminated, with minimal water reserve.
